ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

Christmas songs have been played on air. Christmas trees, garlands, Christmas lights are everywhere. The cold breeze touches my everything and I know its Christmas.

Its been our tradition to buy new things but it doesn't matter. What matters is we should know the true meaning and essence of Christmas. To give, to share and to love. We should give love on Christmas. We should share what we have to others. Let Jesus guides us always.

Prepare your gifts, cards for your love ones. Let them feel your undying love. Let them experience and feel the spirit of Christmas. For this christmas, I wish there would be world peace, unity.

Events for the month of November

When we enter the month of November, we know its Flipino Values month and we usually celebrate it. Values Club usually held an activities related to Flipino Values. The theme for the celebration is "Pagpapatibay ng pagkataong Pilipino: Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahon.

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Mr. Trivia, Sir Joseph Obrero gave Morning Trivia. The Trivias were easy because we have learned it in our values. There was also kite flying contest. The kites were beautiful, some flew high and some flew only above the mabolo tree. Slogan contest, cookfest, sayawit, tagis talino were also held.

City Meet 2009 was also held last November 26-28. Seniors were requested to attend and watch the opening of the said activity. During the said meet, we didn't have class and we enjoyed cheering our athletes. I have met my old friends.

We prepared for the speech choir. Everybody were busy doing their assigned tasks. I belong to the custom committee. And I have lots of experiences this month of November.

Second Grading Period

Second grading period has ended and we are now entering the third grading period. I have learned how to make HTML using the notepad. At first, I was confused with the tags. As days passed, I am already used of. I enjoyed doing our activities. I have learned how to put background, using the color and images as well as how to put font size, font color and how to emphasize words.

Someday somehow I could apply this things when I will enter college though I am not expert in this at least I already know.

My teacher, My hero...

My teacher, my hero…..Teachers are considered hero because they have done many sacrifices for us students. They serve as our mothers and fathers in the school. They take good care of us. Sometimes they scold us but of course it’s for our own good but sometimes we misinterpret their acts.
For the past three years, I’ve encountered different teachers yet there is just only one who touched my heart every time we see each other. She treats me like I’m of her “barkada”. We usually talk about my crush who’s now married.
I admire her so much because she knows how to deal with her students. She possessed all the attitude of a good teacher at the same time a mother and a person. She understands us and she usually give pieces of advice that makes our problem easier for us to solve.
I still remember when I was sick and she asked me what’s happening to me. I just smiled but I didn’t answer her. She laughed in a way that she was shocked. After a week, I saw her in front of the A.P building and I was shocked when he pulled me w/o the knowledge that I’ve undergone an operation on appendectomy. It was again a memorable day of my high school life. She treasure me like her own daughter.
I’ll never forget her. She will always stay in my heart. She made my high school life memorable and colourful. I thank ma’am for all those memories we shared together. I’m proud to tell everybody that the teacher I’m talking about is Mrs. Amelyn P. Abella.

Life would not be possible w/out Science and Technology. Since we are now in the modern world, Science is now the source of living and it is very known to man. It really helps us to do work easily and faster.
Before, Eldus said that they only ha ve radio casette tape and old telephone. Scientists continue to discover and improve those old materials in order to come up to better things that ends up to a well-develop nation. Today, high technologies are already found everywhere. Robots are now helpful to man, isn't it? But there comes a time that robots will dominate human beings, who did it? MAN is the answer for that. But though there are harmful effects of Science in our nation we still use Science in our everyday living, right?
Science do really perform a big role in our society, without this.....can you say that you're contented? can you say that you love life? can you feel the essence of being alive? No!!! because of one reason.....SCIENCE is now our source of life! =)

Filipino: Philippine's Language

Every country there own language that serves as their own identity such Chinese in China, English in USA, Italian in Italy and here in the Philippines, Filipino.

Before, there wasn't been a national language of Philippines but the Father of National Language Mr. Manuel Quezon made "Filipino' as our national language. Because of one reason, so that we can understand each other. This language serves also as our identity because it carries the banner of our country. Since philippines is now going global, Filipinos are easily identified because of the language theye're using and the way they talk.

But as years passed, we don't give much importance to our language that made us as one. We usually use our own dialect or sometimes other language like English, the international language. As Filipinos, we should be proud and use it because we have unique language.

HIGH SCHOOL LIFE

Since I entered this school, Ilocos Sur National High School, I have a lot of experiences here and occupied the biggest part of my high school life.

One of the subjects, I like is TLE, Technology and Livelihood Education. My first impression to this subject is it must be hard, hard because I’m not really good in computers. As year passed, I am already in enjoying this subject because I have learned a lot here. I learned to explore and enjoy viewing different things on the internet. TLE enhances my social life. Our teachers challenged us to be more attentive, active and to participate in the class in the class and the other activities.

Time management is my major problem. It’s hard to manage my time because there were a lot of projects and assignments and others. Sometimes I ever rushing things just to meet the deadline and at the same time it challenge me.

I have encountered many problems and challenges yet I solved those problems and passed those challenges. I’ve tried my very best to solve that problems and of course with the help of God.

Moving on I will surely improve my grades for the next grading, be more active and to study hard.
